Introduction to Photodermatology

An Educational Course

Organised by the Photodermatology Unit,

St. John’s Institute of Dermatology.

This four-day Course, alternating annually between the Photodermatology Departments of the St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas' Hospital, London and Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, is designed to provide a comprehensive grounding in all aspects of photodermatology for SpRs and Consultants. 

It covers the pathogenesis, diagnosis, investigation and management of the photodermatoses, phototherapy and the basic elements of photodynamic and laser therapy. The course also includes workshop demonstrations of Phototesting, Phototherapy, PDT, Photoprotection in Xeroderma Pigmentosum, and a session of clinical case presentations.

The next 'Introduction to Photodermatology Course' will be held at the Photodermatology Unit, St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's Hospital, London SE1 9RT, from Monday 16th September – Thursday 19th September 2024.  This is a non-residential course.
